I'm around here somewhere!

Well, the weather this summer has been pretty awful, huh? I've actually gone to the pool when it was like 74 degrees and cloudy just to get my money's worth out of my season pass! It's been so un-summerlike that I didn't even have my first funnel cake until a week ago! And now I know it's almost fall because I just had my birthday, which is always symbolic of autumn for me b/c as a child and even a teenager, I always got back to school stuff as presents!

Anyway, as the nights are getting a little bit longer, I can feel my urge to mini start to bubble up again. I've been collecting Re-Ment a ton now that I found a store in Pittsburgh that actually sells them (blind-boxed, though). I've wanted a Blythe doll for a few years now, and my sweet boyfriend bought me one as a present for the b-day (guess I'm too old for back to school clothes!) and I love her... I took some pics with little bits of Re-Ment.

So, hope everyone is having a nice summer and having lots of adventures and funnel cakes! Talk to you soon!

Oh, I love your little doll! She is so cute! Do her eyes move? She is looking one way in the first photo and another in the second...

Hope you get some warm sunny weather soon! I would NEVER go into a pool that was 74 degrees!

Love your new doll! I have to admire them from afar because I have waaaay too many hobbies. I think it would be fun to sew her lots of outfits- you see so many cute things people have made for their dolls on the internet. Happy Birthday!!!! Glad you didn't get school supplies :)

Congrats on your doll! She's awesome. I, too, have discovered a local shop that sells blind box Re-ment and it is an addiction. I got a secret set and I was hooked :) It also made me not want to pay outrageous eBay shipping charges ever again. Good to have you back!

I've gotten a secret set, too... I was so excited! There was a drawing contest on the offical Re-Ment set a bit ago and I won a very rare set, it just arrived in the mail one day and it is delightful... I am excited to have a Blythe to put with my Re-ments (some of them look good in mini 1/12 settings, but they look awesome in a playscale scene).

Kathi, these dolls have a drawstring in the back of their heads and when you pull it their eyes change colors and move directions.

I'm trying to make her an outfit, but I don't sew (I'm using fabric glue and lots of ribbon for trim)
